Achoo!

You've got something on your nose. Is it a booger?

Sneezed so hard your feet gave out?

it shouldn't. there are better places to hang a trans cooler. ( oil cooler? power steering cooler?)

but thats a hot lady.

Frankly, the placement is fine by me. It can look cool on some cars. not on this car, but some cars.

It's the tubes. Those god damn tubes. For fuck's sake.

unless that car has a full bellypan, and the cooler was an afterthought, and the owner is lazy, someone should test his zero-fucks policy.

Not an after thought at all, this was done as a style decision. Oil coolers mounted on the nose is a thing the bosozuku and shakotan guys in japan do and this build is definitely inspired by those styles

The style is inspired by vintage Japanese racecars of the 60s and 70s. The oil coolers were mounted out front because they simply didn't have enough room in the engine bay. The owner probably could fit it in the engine bay of his Z but that wouldn't be keeping true to the style he's trying to mimic.

From the home page thumbnail, I was all in, but I agree, I don't yet understand this. Just stick that back in the body and we're good.

I'd keep it all indoors, but even as is I'd drive the shit out of this car. So gorgeous.

Is this the same one that was featured on Stanceworks a while back? Too lazy to google. Don't post a lmgtfy link plz.

I dunno man. They did it in Tokyo extreme racer, which to this day is the only ps2 racing game in which attaching ricy body kits to your car made you noticeably faster.

So therefore it's good. Or bad. TXR was awesome though, no doubt about that.

An S30 with well executed drop and flares is always top notch. It makes me sad that Nissan hasn't attempted the retro vibe (until the IDx); the more I have seen of the 350 and 370, the more I agree with Peter Brock's assessment that the time off after the 300 was a real missed opportunity to develop something revolutionary. Like the Corvette, they all have the cues that get shared MY after MY, but I really think the Z could have evolved a la 911 and been a proper stunner.

There's always hate on the oil-cooler. LONG LIVE BOSO/SHAKOTAN

well. there are better places to hang those. cleaner air, so to speak. don't get me wrong, i'm not hating. do what you can with what you have & all, but do it right.

this car is right enough to be a little wrong.

You're right, there are better places to mount them. This was put there for cosmetic reasons, mostly because its trendy and "looks cool". External oil coolers are on a similar level as flush fitment.
